Today, I'm gonna throwback my cafe-hopping on my last trip to Bangkok.
During my trip in December 2017/January 2018, I stayed in Bangkok about a week.
If you are on my Instagram @mizhippo, you probably know that I have been to Bangkok many times; at least once a year, and usually I only spent 4 days 3 nights just for the local Thai food and shopping.
This time, I decided to make a one week trip in Bangkok to make sure I have enough time to hunt down some cafes in Bangkok.
I'm a big fans of cafe-hopping, no matter if I'm in KL or other countries, I just love to spend my times at a place where I can chill out with my favourite cup of coffee.
As far as I know, there are many amazing cafes in Bangkok, indeed too many!
I have seen many Thai cafes on social channels and many of them offer very good vibes and atmosphere as in overall.
Well, after I visited some cafes during my trip, I can't deny that many of them are really good and also much better than the ones in KL in terms of the interior, ambiance, and coffee quality.
Are you planning a cafe-hopping trip to Bangkok?
No worries! I've got you covered in this post!
If you googled where to cafe hop when in Bangkok, I'm sure Toby's will be one of the top cafe that show up on the list.
I've been knowing this cafe for sometimes through a few blogs, and Toby's has been laid in my cafe list ever since then.
Finally, I have made it to here!
Toby's is located deep inside the Sukhumvit area.
It is a well known cafe with cozy environment and best brunch, however me and Lik had a little doubt on it after our first visit. :(
The moment you step into the cafe, you will have a very refresh feeling.
The entire place is bright and airy, and also the overall decoration looks very cheerful.
I think that's probably one of the main reason why this cafe become so popular.
I can't deny it can be a good place to escape from the busy city of Bangkok.
Since Toby's is famous with it's brunch, we ordered the Junior Brekkie @ THB220 (about RM28) for a try.
The plate comes with an egg at whatever style you want, then pair with avocado tomatoes salsa, bacon, ciabatta, and fresh berries.
We also ordered the Linguine Shellfish with Fresh Chili @ THB380 (about RM48.00) under the bigger plate menu.
The pasta is mainly filled with the fresh seafood, so the noodles are teeming with shelfish and saturated with clean, briny-sweet flavour.
Btw, I didn't order any coffee at Toby's because I wanted to visit another cafe after the Toby's.
Can't take too much caffeine on the same day. :)
So, we just had a tea pot with their Special Blend Teas @ THB110 (about RM14) for sharing.
Overall, the food presentations are great, and every dishes are filled with fresh ingredients.
However, I think the food serving portion are pretty small.
The portions are enough to feed your hunger, but I think it's not enough to keep your tummy filled with satisfaction.
We spent about RM100++, and thought everything was just not very worth the total value.
With the total amount we spent, we think probably there can be better choices out there.

Hands and Heart is a little coffee shop located at the same street as Toby's.
After having brunch at Toby's, we stopped at Hands and Heart for a coffee break.
This place also recommended by a coffee lover whom I knew from Instagram before the trip.
He is a coffee lover and said that this cafe serves a comfortable environment and also delicious coffee.
Hands and Heart is easy to find because it is visible from the street, and the architecture is in all white which is eye-catching from far away. :)
The cafe is quite tiny, which probably can only fill up with about 20 pax?
One of the unique thing about the cafe is it is decorated with just black and white theme.
It gives the whole atmosphere looks very clean, modern and stylish. :)
I had their Hot White with Cappuccino @ THB120 (about RM15) with a strong bitter coffee taste.
Lik ordered the Clean Hands with Iced @ THB120 (about RM15) which comes with their handmade caramel and milk.
Lik loves it after the first sip, and he said he will come back again for the other trials surely. :)
It's worth visiting Hands and Heads Cafe if you are into good coffee.
The cafe not only offers good quality coffee, the minimalist interior will also make it Instagram-worthy spot to take good photos.
Check it out if you want a laid back day in Bangkok!

Factory Bangkok is my another favourite cafe to hop in.
This is the nearest cafe to where I stayed in Ratchathewi, however it's not within a walking distance, so we went there by grab car.
We found this cafe by Google Maps where you can search for places nearby to eat and drink.
The cafe provides an industrial-chic look which makes the whole place has a kind of funky vibes.
I love the mix and match tables and chairs with wooden and metal materials because they really give a real authentic look for the surrounding. :)
There are many coffee choices out there on their menu, and many of them were designed with catchy and unique names.
Indeed, their coffees are also crafted and created with different tastes and themed!
El Brown @ THB100 (about RM13) that has double layers of espresso & cool chocolate milk.
I tasted a strong chocolate milk taste on this glass of espresso.
Factory Flat White 6oz @ THB120 (about RM15) comes with a creamy texture and their secret milk recipe.
The flat white has a rich espresso bitter taste on the palate and also a well balanced of the creamy milk layer foam on the top.
It is interesting to hop on the Factory Coffee Bangkok during our trip.
From the interior, to the services, and then the coffee tastes, everything were really out of our expectations.
If you stay at somewhere close to Ratchathewi area, you should come here for a good coffee with an unique, authentic and artisan coffee experience!

Little Baker Cafe and Studio is a little hidden gem located at Lad Phrao.
We found this cafe again with the Google Maps after we finished shopping somewhere nearby the Chatuchak Market.
It's quite far from the Chatuchak area though, took us about 10-15 minutes to walk there.
Little Baker is such a cute bakery cafe to visit in the city of Bangkok.
The space is not big, which can only hold maybe about 10-15 pax at one time.
However, their concept is super romantic and fairy-tales; having a cup of coffee here makes me feel like a princess in there. :)
Apparently, there are two entrances at the cafe; one at the front and one at the back.
I'm sure guests will want to take photos with these beautiful homely entrances to share on their social channels. :)
I had my cup of Cappuccino, and Lik has his cup of Flat White at the Little Baker. :)
If you looked at the Little Baker's FB page, they are specialized in making and creating beautiful cakes, cookies, and cupcakes.
All the bakery designs are super cute and adorable!
We ordered a Mixed Berry Mini Pancake which stacks an alternate layers of pre-made pancakes with strawberries and blueberries.
I can't remember the exact price of it, probably costs about RM20++ of it.
"All you need in life is love and cake". :)
Ya, the interior and decorations inside the Little Baker look very nice, but I would say the dessert and coffee were just mediocre honestly.
However, if you are looking for a peaceful cafe to rest and relax, you may want to drop by here to have a cup of coffee while taking some Instagram-worthy pictures. :)

Yeap! That's all for today's sharing!
In this trip, we spent quite a lot of times and money in cafe-hopping, and most of the time we traveled by Grab because we were very lazy to walk, especially under the hot sunny day. #haha
I still have a list of cafe to hop in Bangkok, and hopefully my next Bangkok trip will be coming soon! #hehe
One of the 2018 New Year Resolutions is to have more and more coffees! :)
