Shokubutsu Pledge @ Self Breast Check During shower

Do you know that breast cancer is the 2nd most common cancer in the world?
Do you know that 1 out of 19 woman are at breast cancer risk?
Do you know that simple 5 minutes breast self-check can help the early detection?

There are more than 90% of women diagnosed with breast cancer at the earliest stage have the chance to survive for at least 5 years.
That is why it is very important for us to prevent it through early detection.
In conjunction with the pink ribbon month, Shokubutsu, the leading shower foam in Malaysia is spearheading a campaign of Pledge-To-Self-Check During Shower to all women!
It is a supported campaign with National Cancer Society Malaysia (NCSM), which aims to empower women and highlight to them that early breast cancer detection lies in their hands and in turn, early detection can significantly increase the survival rate.

Many of us are aware of how important the breast cancer is, but how many of us are actually committed yourself to do something to prevent it?
We might already know some tips, but I believe many of us will also find excuses and neglect to make this step as a commitment.

So as to encourage women to make an important commitment, Shokubutsu therefore believe that the best time to do breast checks is during the shower time and it is also one of the most helpful self-initiative step that enable early detection.
No matter how busy and hectic your daily life is, you will still need to shower at least one time in a day.
Hence, this will be a perfect ideal time for you to practice this and make it as your habit soon or later.
You can do it as on a daily basis to make it a point to remember to do your breast self-checks once a month in the shower until it becomes an effortless habit.
Please keep in mind that a simple breast self-check in the shower can help women detect breast cancer early and indeed the most convenient and easiest time to do a breast self-check.

If you ever have any breast self-check before, let's start practicing it now!

#1 Raise left arm behind your hand.
#2 Glide soapy right hand and check left breast by placing middle 3 fingers firmly, using small circular movements around the breast to feel for lumps.
#3 Always start from outside edge of breast going inwards in circles.
#4 Make sure that you check the entire breast, armpits and behind nipple.
#5 Repeat the steps by using left hand to check on right breast.

Do it every month without fail.
The best time is always few days after your period when your breasts are less tender.
If you are no longer menstruating, simply select a regular date for your monthly self check.
This self check can also be done while standing up in front of your make up mirror or lying on bed.

The Shokubutsu ‘Pledge-To-Self-Check During Shower’ campaign will run from 1 October till 30 November 2015.
They target to get 250,000 women to pledge to do their breast self-check during shower every month, whereby every bottle sold during the campaign period will translate into 1 pledge and Shokubutsu will donate RM0.10 to NCSM.
There will be also variety of nationwide roadshows, in-store promotions and social media activation in educating women the step-by-step guide to do breast self-check during shower.

Besides, Shokubutsu has also designed a special application on Shokubutsu Malaysia Facebook.
You can upload and share your pledge now to receive a FREE 3D Mammogram with consultation voucher when you buy a Thin Prep (Pap Smear) at NCSM Cancer and Health Screening Clinic.

Hair Makeover @ Daisuke Salon De Coiffure

If you follow my Instagram, you might already noticed that I have recently changed my hairstyle.
Some said I look much younger and refresh.
Some said I look a bit more mature.
My niece said I look like a doll.
Lik said I look like a puddle dog. #whatthe...
Anyway, I like my new hair as I think it is easy to take care of, and I look more refreshed with it.
Wanna know about my hair makeover story? Please continue to scroll down! #hehe

I did my hair makeover with Daisuke Salon De Coiffure, which located at Dataran 3 Two Square in PJ.
It is owned and operated by Japanese, Mr. Daisuke Suzuki with his professional team.
To be honest, it is a real big challenge for me to step into a new salon, plus having hairstyle changes.
I am a person who is afraid to have my hairdo with anyone, because it is not easy for me to accept the changes. #soundsbad
I remember during my primary school years, my mum always has headaches whenever she brought me to the salons, because I always end up crying and she get so frustrated.
Glad that Daisuke did not disappoint me after all!

I was impressed how they decorated the salon to have a kind of peaceful greeny feeling.
It looks so lovely, almost like a secret garden; very warm and cozy!

When I arrived there, Ms. Ai brought me to their private room.
Yeap, you heard it right! They have two private rooms with curtain for you if you want to have private space for your own. How cool it is!

After the consultation session with my hair stylist, Amanda, we are ready for the changes!
Amanda is very insisted with what she thinks is good on me and tried to persuade me with her suggestion.
Obviously, I was persuaded after all! #lol

We started the first step to wash my hair and the Co2 hair and scalp treatment.
Co2 hair and scalp treatment is a hair treatment formula imported from Japan, which mainly to take care and clean your scalp with the application of Tansan Bubble Spa.
It uses Carbon Dioxide as the main ingredient to deep cleanse your hair and wash off the oil and dirt from the pores.
Co2 treatment can help to #1 clean harmful chemical residues, dust and sebum clogging the scalp, #2 prevent hair loss, #3 reduce scalp itchiness due to the chemical treatments, #4 help for oily scalp, #5 repair dry and damaged hair by colouring or permanent,  #6 softer the hair, and increase your hair volume, #6 improve blood circulation on your scalp.
So, after the treatment, your hair for sure will feel more refreshing, glossy and softer!

You can see how dirty and oily your scalp is after you finish the CO2 treatment.
I have already expected mine will be very awful since I have done numerous of hair colouring and chemical treatments before, so I supposed my scalp must already been damaged a lot!
Amanda did two Co2 treatments on my hair; one before the hair cut, and one after the perming session.
It is true that I can feel my scalp is lighter and fresher than before, probably because it has cleared the dirt that has been laying inside for long time.

Amanda suggested me to cut my hair shorter, at about my shoulder length, and followed by the digital perm.

It was a mixed feeling of having a curly hair again as I had bad experiences in few years ago.
I washed it off after a week later as I couldn't face myself in front of the mirror; plus people said I do not suit with curly hair, and it makes me look so old!
You can assume how super duper nervous I was during this process!

If you look carefully enough, you can see my hair is actually very fine and soft.
Amanda was very considerate; she specially used this Bondplex Createrur Creator on my hair while doing the perm so that it can prevent my hair damaged from the chemical.
Bondplex is a kind of anti-breakage technology which builds bonds and it designed to be added to any chemical mixtures (hair dye or bleach) or used in combination with any chemical hair treatment, preventing damage before it can even start.
It does not affect the processing time of your treatments, or have any effect on the developer level.

It's all done after 4 hours!
I was very surprise with the final result, especially the curl.
It looks very natural, and I think I look more alike Korean or Japanese now. #haha

The behind look, very natural huh!

Thank you Amanda for her patient and her good work of that day! #thumbsup

And thanks to Mr. Daisuke for his professional photo shooting of that day!

My total cost of my hair makeover is RM280, includes cut and perm by senior stylist, plus RM28 for the CO2 spa.

Koyaku Japanese Dining & Grill @ Taman Desa

Hello! Hello!
Today, I am going to blog about Koyaku, a new Japanese restaurant located at the Faber Tower, Taman Desa.
Me and my family always seek for good Japanese restaurants, especially the ones nearby where we stay.
Glad that I managed to find one recently, which they just opened like 5-6 months ago.
Continue reading the post to know how great it is! #hehe

Koyaku located at the same location as previous well-known Japanese restaurant of "Ïkkyu".
Koyaku means "little house" in Japanese.
They offer authentic Japanese food with all fresh ingredients imported directly from Japan.

Say Hi to Robocon, who is standing right in front of the entrance waiting for you!

Koyaku emphasizing "no war"and "never ordinary" in terms of their interior design.
They have very unique in-house design which full of Japanese concept, whereby you will certainly feel like you have landed in Japan once you stepped into the restaurant.

The entire place used all kinds of eco-friendly, recycled, and crafted as their decoration materials, which has really stand out from the crowd.

Such as making the lamp with crafted wood.

Reused the Japanese fan as one of the decoration.
My childhood idol “Takuya Kimura"! #hehe

What's more! They even imported different kind of recycle carton boxes all the way from Japan as one of the wall decoration. It is also one of my favourite corner inside the restaurant.

Truly adore with their creative ideas!

Koyaku offers different dining areas to the customers, not only inside seating but you can also eat outside if you prefer.
If you coming alone, you can sit at the sushi bar to enjoy your alone time with your meals.

If you come in a big group and would like some privacy, you can also book their small little rooms.
They have total three private rooms available.

Koyaku not only has different ala-carte menus, they also offers a special Omakase dining experience to the customer.
Omakase is a kind Japanese dining which you let the chef to tailor made your meal of that day.
The chef will prepare the special meal according to what he thinks is the best to serve on that day, what are the freshest ingredients, and also based on your personal taste preference, your budget and so on.
I was blessed to have my first Omakase experience with Koyaku on that day!

The Omakase menu costs in between RM150 - RM180.
It is all served on a plate like this; with three kinds of seaweed, shredded radish, 2 types of wasabi, and gari (ginger) in the middle.
Kisami Wasabi is the one on the right, which is the chopped wasabi; while the Dama Wasabi on the left is the minced type, which we usually have it in other Japanese restaurants.
I personally like the Kisami as I think it is less spicy as the minced one.

Ankimo (Monkfish liver) and sea-snail came as the appetizer, with sweet potato chips and fried onion as side dishes.

Followed by the first sashimi of Kampachi.

Aori Ika is one type of squid.

Salmon Belly with a firm texture, topped with Ikura.

Botan Ebi topped with Hokkaido Sea Urchin.
It's my first time eating raw prawn, couldn't believe it can be so fresh and tasty!

Shimaji looks a bit similar like Kampachi.
Yet, it is three times more expensive than Kampachi, also the meat is much more firm and oily than Kampachi.

Big piece of Scallop from Hokkaido.
The chef just torched the fresh scallop a bit and wrapped with the seaweed.

Bluefin Tuna is one of my favourite among the others.
The meat is so thick and firm to eat with the rice.

Salmon Aburi, is a sushi wrapped with avocado and topped with a piece of salmon.

I love egg but definitely not egg yolk.
This hard boiled egg replaced rice, Ikura and chopped wasabi with egg yolk is certainly increase your appetizer.

My another favourite of Soft Shell Crab wrap with Avocado topped with Ebiko

Unagi with Foie Grass is a deep fried seaweed skin served with Tonkaysu sauce.
It is definitely a big bomb after all!

The Omakase ended with Kyoho Grape.
So fresh! So sweet! It also has a kind of red wine taste!

I was truly impressed with everything in Koyaku, not only their super quality food, but also the atmosphere they represented.
It is surely a very worth trial authentic Japanese restaurant for the Japanese cuisine lovers, right from the ambiance to the food!
I actually went back to Koyaku the next few days with my parents to try their Ala-Carte menu of Shake Atama Nabe, and Shima Aji Atama Nabe.
Glad that they both also like the food there, and my dad even said no doubt that they served very fresh food here!
