We’ve all had the feeling of being alone in the world. Only Mark Watney knows the feeling of being alone on Mars.
Mark Watney (Matt Damon), one of the Mars. Astronaut was left behind by his crew members during a manned mission due to the wind storm on the Red Planet.
When everyone assumed that Watney was dead from vanishing into the storm, he managed to survive and find himself stranded and alone on the hostile planet.
With only meager supplies, which cannot last for four years before the next mission of Mars arrive, Watney has to draw upon his ingenuity to find a way to survive and signal NASA and his crew members that he is still alive.
If you were left on Mars without enough air, food and water supplies, you would immediately die.
Yet, Watney used his "smart" way to fight for his survival in the harsh environment by making breathable air from the local atmosphere, be a botanist, and making the water from thin air to keep him alive.
He also find the way to get communicate with NASA team from millions of miles away to bring him home.
Upon discovering Watney's alive signal, NASA, scientists all around the world, and his crew members collaborate to find a way to rescue him.
As these stories of incredible bravery unfold, the world comes together to root for Watney’s safe return.
The Martian, based on a best selling novel, and helmed by master director Ridlet Scott, features a star studded cast that includes Matt Damon, Jessica Chastain, Kristen Wiig, Jeff Daniels, Michael Peña, Kate Mara, Sean Bean, Sebastian Stan, Aksel Hennie, Donald Glover, Mackenzie Davis, and Chiwetel Ejiofor.
For me,
Mark Watney is charming. I like his sense of humor to stay calm and solve problems during the dilemma.
It is a movie with a lot of science, biology and mathematics which lead to my thought that if I would Mark Watney, I will never survived in such circumstances because I'm not a science students and I my mathematics is terrible. #lol
Mark Watney is right that when we face any problems, we should solve it one by one, and do not give up until we have the right solution.
The movie is a bit long, yet it is an awesome movie and I am sure you will have a nice Mars experience and knowledge during the two and a half hour show!
This movie is now showing at a cinema near you, so hurry up to get your tickets now for the coming weekend!
