2018 Highlights | 2019 Resolutions

2019 is coming.
It's crazy how time flies.
It seems like it was just yesterday I'm writing about my new year resolution for the year.
If you have been with my blog all this while, you would already know that writing a simple year end recap post is a kind of a routine for me.
I find it is a very good way to look back and see what I've done throughout the year, and reassure what I've achieved in the year with the new year resolutions I set early.
I'm not sure how many of you did really remind yourself about the new year resolution you set early, but for me, I will always look back from time to time to see how far I've gone, what I did and what I did not.
For sure, there are ups and downs in 2018, but still 2018 is one of the great years that I've achieved more than I expected.
As how I did it every year, these are my highlights in 2018. :)

It wasn't a good start in 2018.
My grandma was very sick in January, and she passed away in early February, just a week before Chinese New year.
Dealing with the loss of a family member is always difficult; and really was a tough moment for my family, especially for my dad.
We didn't celebrate Chinese New Year in 2018, but made a short trip to Bentong and Genting Highlands for my parents basically just to refresh their mind and body.

In April, I went to Langkawi for a short weekend trip with my girl friend.
I was glad that the short vacation came on the right time when I think I need it the most.
I've blogged about our weekend retreat at Meritus Pelangi Beach Resort we stayed in Langkawi, you can check it out at HERE if you are interested.
It's really a paradise for those who are looking for a short gateaway from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Then, fast forward to June.
I flew to Perth with Lik and also my parents in the beginning of June.
It seems like traveling to Australia once a year is one of our traveling plan in every year.
Next year, me and Lik are planning to visit Melbourne again!
Anyway, I've blogged about my Perth journey, you can click on the label PERTH to check out all the posts which I've already linked them together.

In the beginning of July, I started to take up a new challenge by signing up my first K-Pop dance choreography class.
Before that, I only learnt the K-Pop fitness dance, a kind of workout dance.
I've always have the interest to learn K-pop choreography, but do not have enough courage to do it.
It's really a big move for me, but truly satisfied and happy that I've make the first move.

In August, it's K-Wave 3!
I never been to K-Wave concert but this time I've bought my ticket to the concert because I really wanted to see FT Island this time.
Have been waiting to see this boy band for many years, but they just didn't make it to Malaysia.
Though they only took a short part at the concert, but it's already like a dream come true for me. :)

In the mid of September, I went for a cruise trip with my parents and also my elder sister's family.
It's my second time went on cruise, the last time I cruised was about 18 years ago.
The experience with Voyager of the Sea was great, with delectable dining, exciting activities and also fantastic entertainment.
I find that cruise trip is a great option for families because it's a good way to get everyone together all day and all of the night.
I not yet blogged about the cruise trip, hopefully I will have time to job it down soon. :)

So October, I went to iKON's "Continue" and WINNER's "Everywhere" concerts.
I recently like iKON's songs very much like Killing Me, Goodbye Road, and Love Scenario.
iKON winning my heart here in Malaysia!
Also, it was really great to know that WINNER kicked off their Everywhere tour again after so many years, and the concert was indeed amazing and fun!

On the 1st of November, I revisited Busan with my family.
My parents always wanted to travel to Busan, so I planned a trip to be their tour guide and bring them around in Busan.
After staying in Busan for a week, I definitely love Busan.
Busan is much more relaxing, and the people in Busan is a little more friendly I find.
I'll probably visit Busan more in the future. :)

And, at the end of November, I traveled to Korea again.
This time, I'm visiting Seoul together with Korean Tourism Organization (KTO).
Words really can't describe how excited I was for my first ever media trip in my life.
Thanks for giving me the opportunity and letting me to see another beautiful side of South Korea.
I've blogged the entire trip, including the itinerary with places I went, so feel free to click HERE if you are interested.

It's been a long overdue plan to make a trip with my whole family back to my dad's hometown in Fujian, China.
I felt so glad that we finally made it happen in 2018.
We had a very well spent 10 days trip together, and we really wish that we could do it again in 2019.
These years, I realized family is the most important thing in the world.
No amount of money or success can take the place of time spent with your family.

There are lots more to achieve and improve, but these are the major things I want to achieve in 2019.
#1 Want to travel to more places.
#2 Wanna learn to slow down in my every day life.
#3 Become an organized person, well I've said this last year though. :)
#4 Create more blog contents to my readers.
#5 Improve my conversations with people, especially socializing and communicating with new  people.

Make no rooms for regrets!
That's what I've been sharing with the people around me.
I always think tomorrow is not promised and today is short.
Be in love with your life, every minute of it, and you will be grateful with what you have.
Once again, thanks for the opportunities that came to me this year, all the love and support from my friends and family, and of course you!
Without you all, my 2018 won't be so wonderful!

Last but not least, I wish everyone a HAPPY NEW YEAR and happy holidays!
Cheerssssss!
