Little Moments That Made My 2025

I almost forgot to write my 2025 recap.
I just got back from Japan, and everything still feels a little all over the place.
The house needs cleaning, work is piling up, schedules need to be rearranged, there’s always something waiting to be done.
Life doesn’t really pause just because you were away.
This morning, it suddenly hit me: I haven’t written my blog for the last day of 2025 yet.
As usual, the year passed incredibly fast.
It feels like I was just sitting down to write the previous recap not long ago, reflecting on another ending, another beginning.
And now, somehow, I’m here again, turning the page to a new chapter.
Sometimes, I really wish time could slow down...Just a little.
So I wouldn’t have to grow up so quickly, and the people I look up to around me wouldn’t grow older so fast either.
I wish there were moments I could pause, to stay a bit longer in the present, before everything quietly moves on.
And maybe that’s why I’m writing this now.
To hold on, even briefly, to what this year meant to me.

My 2024 Recap: A Year of Happiness and Growth

It's that time again, the end of the year.
Time to look back, reflect, and put together a recap of everything that happened in 2024.
As I sat down to write this post, I started flipping through my photo albums, reminiscing about the moments that have made this year truly special.
To my surprise, I realized that 2024 has been a year filled with achievements, milestones, and unforgettable experiences.
This year has been full of achievements, both big and small, and stepping out of my comfort zone to try new things; whether it was completing projects or traveling to new destinations, each experience has shaped me in meaningful ways.
While working hard, I didn’t let go of my happiness. I made sure to do the things I love and enjoy, and I spent a lot of time traveling this year, exploring new places and creating memories. It was a perfect balance of productivity and personal joy.
Writing this recap has reminded me of the importance of reflection. It’s not just about the highlights, but appreciating the journey and the growth along the way.
I really enjoy writing this recap, not only to reflect on everything that happened but also because it’s something I can look back on when I grow old. It’s a way to preserve memories and cherish the moments that made this year special.
As we close out 2024 and look ahead to 2025, I’m excited for what’s next.
Here’s to new adventures, more achievements, and another year of learning and growing!

This is My 2023!

Wow, I can't believe it's almost time to say goodbye to 2023!
This year, I feel the year passed by very quickly; perhaps I was so busy that I forgot how time flew.
Despite nothing super exciting happening, I feel grateful with everything that came my way.
I noticed I had more time for myself this year, learning to live the life I wanted, doing things I really enjoy, I also spent a lot of time with my parents, which was nice.
Besides that, I also worked hard and had fun when I could, trying to find a good balance, which made me feel happy and satisfied throughout the year.
I want to remember what happened in 2023, so I'm saving this post.
It's a summary of my experiences from the year, capturing the good moments and simple joys.
Looking back, it was a special year!

Note to Myself 2023

Just took a few minutes to read back the new year resolution I wrote in 2021.
Sometimes I like the feeling when reading back the old posts, it reminds me of certain important events and parts of my life, enable me to experience back the emotion and feelings at that time, yet it's like a dream yet so real.
Reading back the past year post, I realized I did not set any targets for myself on 2022.
I did not plan or set any resolution for year 2022 instead I told myself to live to the fullest.
I want to live a free, peaceful and enjoy life; eat what I like, buy what I want and no more restriction in life.
To my surprise, I indeed achieved it by looking back in each month of 2022; no plan, no dateline and no restriction.
I let the time swift me around and I had live freely without thinking too much.
There are so many things (good and bad) to be grateful for and remember in 2022; here, I want to thanks everyone for the unconditional support, cares and patients that given to me, and thanks for showering me with lots of love from the people I met in the year!
2022, you has treated me well!

就这样 2021!

Writing a new year resolution is like a yearly routine for me.
Been writing this for almost 5 years since I started back in 2016.
It's always good to write down things happened throughout the year, and also the new resolutions for the brand new year, so when I read them back, it's like the flashback memories, and also to track my progress on the goals I made for the year.
I think that's the reason why I enjoy writing this post every year. :)
And in this 2021, I wish to putting it down in mandarin.
大概写了5年的年终终结, 还有新年计划, 今年就用中文记录2021吧. :)
就这样, 2021就快过去了, 说真的, 好像过得太快.
2021好像没做过什么却又好像发生了很多事情.
啊! Adult life is never easy! 人越大, 面对生活的挑战就越多.
不知道大家在这一年过得怎么样? 希望大家都平安快乐...

别来无恙

Bidding Farewell to 2020

Hey guys!
Welcome back to my blog, I'm so happy to see you at here again! :)
Today is gonna be a yearly routine blog as I'm writing an annual tradition post to wrap up the year of 2020. :)
I believe that 2020 has been a challenging year for many of us, including me; it's really been a year of unprecedented challenges and changes that have impacted multiple areas of our lives, no matter it's at home or at work.
For myself, 2020 definitely is not the best year; with the start of the exciting resolution plans, then the sudden event, Covid-19 brought to the whole world without any alarm, it's just so unbelievable.
Now I look back at the goals I set for myself in 2020, it seems like nothing much has been accomplished.
However, I can't deny that I've taken the year to learn a lot about myself, and also find ways to improve myself in different ways.
The year somehow has changed the way I behave and think in a way, most importantly I learn to be more appreciate and thankful what I have in life.
It's good that 2020 is finally over, I can't wait for a brand new year to have a new jump-start. :)
So yea, here's a short recap about what I've been doing the whole year, though nothing to get excited about. :)
I enjoy writing this kind of yearly post as I can look back at the goals I set for the year and also it's good to refresh what I've been achieved or done for the whole year.
So, if you're curious, keep reading guys!

40s

My January was amazing!
As most of you know, it was my birthday month. :)
I used to blog about my birthday to remember every bits and pieces of the celebration, and also it's the day I reminded myself that I'm another year older. :)
I just checked my last birthday post was in 2014.
Though it's been 6 years I didn't update my birthday, bu my every birthday, every celebration were surrounded with happiness, filled with laughter, wrapped with joy, blessed with love, and of course celebrated with my fav cake. :)
This year, I told myself I must keep it down in my blog to remember this special day in 2020, because I am turning 40 this year!
I'm so thankful that I had so many beautiful and happiness moments surrounded with people I love the most, my family and friends.
Some of them are really great supporters to support what I love to do, some of them inspired me to be more positive in life, some of them taught me about appreciation of life.
I'm really grateful with everything in my life now.
So, back to my topic of this blog, I had total 6 celebrations this year, with different beautiful people in my life.

Recap 2019, To 2020!

Time flies.
Can't believe it is the end of 2019 now.
2019 has been an up and down year for me.
Well, I can't say it is the best, but also not the worst year too.
I'm feeling so glad that I have my family, Lik and friends being with me all the time this year.
Looking back the new year resolution I made for 2019, I think I did most of them, except being an organized person (this probably gonna take another few more years to achieve lol), yet I'm happy that I'm taking my steps to be more socialize and able to communicate well with new people. :)
Writing a year end recap is like a ritual on my blog when it comes to the end of the year, so yea, this year will not be exceptional as well.
I'm going to write about the recap to keep all my memories and some highlights for 2019.
So, here's what I have for my best 2019.

2018 Highlights | 2019 Resolutions

2019 is coming.
It's crazy how time flies.
It seems like it was just yesterday I'm writing about my new year resolution for the year.
If you have been with my blog all this while, you would already know that writing a simple year end recap post is a kind of a routine for me.
I find it is a very good way to look back and see what I've done throughout the year, and reassure what I've achieved in the year with the new year resolutions I set early.
I'm not sure how many of you did really remind yourself about the new year resolution you set early, but for me, I will always look back from time to time to see how far I've gone, what I did and what I did not.
For sure, there are ups and downs in 2018, but still 2018 is one of the great years that I've achieved more than I expected.
As how I did it every year, these are my highlights in 2018. :)

Best Girlfriends Photography 闺蜜照

It's nice to have a friend.
Someone to laugh with, talk to and cry with.
The bond of friendship grows from sharing good times, working through some bad times, and caring about the life of another person.
A good friend can be your shoulder to lean on, your helping hand when more than two are needed, your quiet ear to hear a story that you wants to tell.
I always think that a true friend is a priceless gift in our life, and I'm glad that I have received it from both my besties, Kay and Wan.
Both of them are the greatest friends in the world to make my life complete.
People said it's important to have a friend who understands your tears is much more valuable than a lot of friends who only know your smile, and I couldn't agree more.

Looking Back at 2017 . Looking Forward to 2018

Oh boy!
First week of January 2018 just passed.
How's everyone's new year eve?
How's your first week in the brand new year?
I was so busy since the beginning of December and just realized I haven't write any new year resolution in my blog yet.
I enjoy writing down the highlights of the old year to recall, not only to recall what I have done in the 365 days, but also hoping for not repeating the same whole shit again in a brand new year.
2017 was good for me, just that I think I didn't really achieve my New Year's resolutions in 2017. :(
Anyway, I'm blessed with everything in the year, no matter it's ups or downs, because I believe all these made me to be a better person.

I spent my half CNY 2017 @ Sunway Medical Hospital

Gong Xi Fa Cai, everyone!
How's everyone Chinese New year holiday?
Mine did not come to the way I expected to, so it was really disappointing.
If you are on my Instagram, you probably noticed I was being admitted to hospital halfway through my Thailand trip.
The trip was original planned to come back home on the 6th Feb, but I bought a new ticket from Chiang Mai on the 2nd Feb.
The new ticket costed me a bomb! #heartpain

The same pus infection in between my left eye and nose happened again on the 10th day during the trip.
It repeated attacks of a red, painful swelling at the corner of my left eye.
Lik and my family worried so much, and they forced me to come back urgently.
This time, I admitted to Sunway Medical Hospital instead of Pantai Bangsar Hospital.
Not because Pantai isn't good enough, it's because I was recommended to an eye specialist from Pantai to get the right treatment for my tear dust system.

Dr. Sree Kumar Palani is an Oculoplastic surgery and Ophthalmology.
He is very nice, patient, and friendly; that's my first impression when I first met him.
He explained to me very well what causing the pus infection again and again.
My tear duct system was blocked, which causing watering eye and pus around the eye.
If you asked what actually causing it happened, well doc said that probably due to my body structure.
Maybe I was borned to have a narrow tear duct system.
So, a minor surgery need to be done, whereby make a new passage from the tear duct system into the nose.

Dr. Koay Cheng Boon is an ENT plus head & neck surgery.
He is a very straight forward doctor whom will tell you what to do and what not to do.
Sometimes he can be harsh in his words, but no doubt he is a professional doctor.
I couldn't agree more with him that if I take extra attention on my watering eyes earlier, I wouldn't have to go through so much of pains with the needles and injections.

Another doctor that I want to mention is Dr. Bachan Singh, an anesthesiology doctor whom I met at the operation theater.
He is such a wonderful doctor to have.
He knew I was very scared about the pain of being injected, so he patiently calmed my fears before the injection.
I truly thanks for his skilled, compassionate and understanding.

To the doctors, you all are so great! Thank you very much for the excellent cares!

I stayed at the hospital for the antibiotics injection before the surgery because the pus infection was pretty bad; taking antibiotics wouldn't help.
I was at ward 4A.
This time I get a 2 bedded room, instead of a single bed room.
After spending so much on the air ticket, I don't really want to top up for the room while my insurance coverage only up to RM200 per day.
It was truly glad to have the entire nurses and staffs at ward 4A because everyone of them are very nice and helpful during my stays.
They go above and beyond my expectations as they truly show a genuine concern and interest in taking care of the patients.
Thank you very much! I love all for your cares, kindnesses and loves!

It's always good to have something to compare with.
By looking at the treatments and surgical I had at both hospitals, I think Pantai has high charges compared to Sunmed.
Though the admission procedure took a bit slow, in fact both hospitals have a very slow admission procedure.
Patients need to lie down and get some well-deserved rest.
I just don't understand why can't they be considerate by arranging the patients to a special lounge (at least) while waiting for the approvals, rooms ready etc.

Now, I am resting well at home.
I hope I will get well soon because I can't wait to kick back on my routine busy lifestyle.
Till then, we meet again!
XOXO

Bye 2016, Hi 2017

Too fast!
Time to bid farewell to 2016!
I think I didn't complete many of my new year resolution in 2016.
The biggest accomplishment is my marriage with Lik since I spent almost half years to prepare it. #lol
I didn't go to many places compare to the previous years, just made it to Melbourne, Sydney, Bangkok and Hong Kong.
Well, instead of writing a sum up of my 2016; this year I want to write about my 2017 New Year's resolution.

#1 Travel to more places
I don't have any specific places in my mind now, but I definitely wanna go to Xi An and Shanghai in the next year.
Life is too short for not travelling and explore the world, peeps!

#2 Pick up my reading habit
I only finished one novel so far in 2016. :(
I used to read a lot when I was a child, but not anymore now.
I feel like my brain is getting old, when I will restart my reading habit again?!

#3 Blog more and share more
I love blogging and I really enjoy sharing good things and my thoughts with my words.
Though I'm not a good writer, I'm very happy whenever I received good compliments after people read my blog. #thankyou
In 2016, I received more interesting reviews and events compare to the previous years; and I hope more exciting things are coming up soon!

#4 Keep fit
I know this has been in my resolution bucket list for many years, still this is gonna be my resolution in 2017. :)
I want to go back to do some regular routine exercises in every week.

#5 Learn to slow down my steps
Most of the times, I found myself hurrying too much.
It creates a lot of stress in my body.
I want to take the time in 2017 to slow down the hectic lifestyle and enjoy my life.

#6 Be patient
To be honest, I'm an impatient person.
In this brand new year, I want myself to be more patient.
I want to learn to listen more than talk.

#7 Start my travel diary
I want to do it for long time when I saw many beautiful works out there.
It's quite a big challenge for me as I'm not very good in drawing, as well as being creative.
So, I want to challenge this in 2017.

#8 Gain more readers and followers
One of the biggest challenge of blogging is to gain followers and likes on the social medias.
I hope that I can hit my desired targets with more likes, shares and followers on my blog, FB page, and Instagram.

#9 Earn More
Everyone wants to earn more, so am I! #lol
I wish my business can grow faster so that it helps me to earn more!
No matter what it brings to, I want to earn more than whatever I earned from last year.

#10 Big dream comes true
I have a big dream in 2017, I will announce it when it is officially confirmed.
Not only I hope, but indeed I want to get it so desperately.
Probably this is the biggest dream ever in my life, so keep my finger crossed!

I will make my 2017 new year resolution up to 10 now.
I probably will not achieve all if I list down another 5 or more. #lol
If you haven't make your new year resolution, you can try do it now.
It's fun to see how much you can achieve in a year.
Last but not least, HAPPY 2017 to all of you!
The most important thing is to stay healthy and happy all year long!

Till I see you in 2017 ♥♥♥

Very Bad Infection with Pus @ Pantai Hospital Bangsar

Hey guys!
It's been 3 weeks since I updated my blog.
For those who have been following on my Instagram and FB, you guys would probably know that I fall sick after returning home from my Hong Kong trip.
I stayed at home for more than a week, and admitted to hospital.
People asked me about my condition, but sorry that I wasn't exactly sure what's to tell.
Since I am recovering now, so I thought might just sharing this post with you all, as well as a personal review about the Pantai Hospital Bangsar that I stayed for 4 days.

It all started on the last day of my Hong Kong trip.
Me and my sisters thought I was lucky enough as we wouldn't know how will it be if this happened during the trip.
My left face started with pain and swelling, while I was taking the flight back to Malaysia.
It was such a long journey to be back home, although the total flight was just 4 hours, as my face was feeling so discomfort.
On the next day, I went to see my ENT doctor, Dr Chang at Pantai Hospital Bangsar, because I thought the discomfort probably causes of my sinuses and watery eyes.
Dr Chang was shocked to see me with my swollen face.
He asked me to take some strong antibiotics to reduce the infection before knowing the main reason causing it.
I took the antibiotics for 2 days, but condition didn't go so well.
My parents were worried, they asked me to seek advises from our "family doctor", Dr Nadarajah (Consultant Physician & Endocrinologist) at the same hospital too.
He first thought that I may diagnoses diabetes as my father has it.
He gave me stronger antibiotics which he thought that could probably help to relieve while waiting for the laboratory results.
I was happy with the antibiotics as I can see the improvement on my face, also glad that the body check up said that I don't have diabetes.
Truly, it was a bit worrying what if I diagnose with diabetes.

Obviously, things didn't go well.
After taking the antibiotics on the 3rd day, areas around my left eye was swelling badly, with pain, redness and tenderness.
It was getting worse day by day, which makes me most worried about!
This picture was taken on the 2nd day after the antibiotics, my final condition is 10 times worse than this!!!
I patiently wait till the weekend is over, and went back to Dr Nada again.
Everyone in the clinic were shocked when I took down my sunglasses (I couldn't go out without any sunglasses as I'm sure my condition can be frightening).
Dr Nada said he can see the pus is building inside the affected area, that's why the skin is getting red, hard and firm.
Without any discussion, Dr Nada admitted me straight away.

It's not my first time at Pantai Bangsar.
One thing I don't like about it here is the hospital administration.
It consider lucky that it only took me 1 hour plus to get into the ward.
I remembered few months ago, my aunt waited like 2 hours on the wheel chair before she entered to the room.
It's so ridiculous that the patients have to wait for so long to get lay down on the bed.
I think this should be seriously improved!

I was at ward 4.
Nurses and staffs are very friendly, nice, helpful and patient.
Indeed, everyone I met at the eye clinic, operation theater are all very good, except the unfriendly ones I met at the administration counter.
Ultra scan in the afternoon confirmed that there are a lot of pus inside the affected area, and need a minor surgery to drain it out.
Since it happened on my face, Dr Nada recommended a plastic surgeon for me, to prevent any scars.
Dr Kuladeva Ratnam (Consultant Plastic,Reconstructive & Cosmetic Surgeon), is a well experienced surgeon, and he explained that he needs to cut a 0.5cm hole on the affected area to drain out the pus.
What actually causing all this infection is probably because of the blockage of my eye vein and the watery eyes I have.

Food in Pantai Bangsar are so so.
Well, what should I expect as a patient?
But one thing good is the menu has variety choices with Asian, Western, vegetarian, porridge and noodles.
If you want something better, there are Papparich, Starbucks, Subway, Secret Recipe etc at the G floor.
I remember the staff at the Hot & Roll is always very friendly; and trust me, their hot rolls are the best!

Now, I am feeling so much better after the surgery done.
Although the wound and the infection area need time for recovering; at least 3 months for reducing the redness, and a month for the wound healing with the bandage, I think nothing gonna be better than the super red and swelling face.
Anyway, whatever happen, life still goes on.

I want to thank my family.
Their unconditional loves and support are always so warm.
It's really touched to receive daily messages and calls from my both sisters.
I know you all have been worrying about my condition a lot.
I want to thank my hubby, Lik.
He is the one who stay with me to monitor my condition, and pamper me like a princess everyday.
He is the one who transmute my negative to his positive energies.
I want to thank everyone who message me no matter it's on my FB, or Whatsapp.
Thanks for all the encouragement and words of comfort.
I didn't get to reply each messages, but don't worry, I get them all and read them all.

The greatest wealth is health.
So everyone, live healthy!
Cheers!

Never Ever Said Blogging Is Easy @ 18102016

Just came back from a short trip in Sibu.
It's one of our best friend's wedding.
It was a nice gathering, catching up with good friends again.
I always appreciate those precious times,
because you don't always have that after everyone got their married life.
Well, that's life!

Met some old friends at the wedding.
They asked: "Ivy, are you a blogger now"?
"I stumbled upon your blog while I was searching what to eat at Publika!"
I smiled and answered:
"Yes".
"Öh really!"

I've blogging for quite some times now,
perhaps 10 years?!
It was influenced by a HK friend.
He encouraged me a lot in blogging,
He asked me just to blast all shits inside the blog.
At that time, my blog was in Chinese.
I think I mostly blogged about my feelings, my emotions.
It took me a while to change it to English,
because my mother tongue is Chinese.
Yes, I went to the university in USA.
But seriously so what?!
It doesn't mean that my English should be awesome.
My ex-boss said my English is very poor
The most discouragement!

It isn't easy at all throughout the blogging journey.
I spent a lot of what it takes to build a successful blog.
Edit again and again before publishing the post.
Do research on some of the topics.
Edit every single pictures before posting.
There are so much to do for one single post.
People said:
"Better work on things that bring you good incomes"
"Why only sponsor you the perfume, but not the sneakers"
"Blogs? I don't believe what they said in their words"!
All these comments,
I just have to take it and leave it.
But sometimes it's just difficult,
You feel hurt, when blogging is one your passion.

Everyone can be a blogger now.
As long as you have a camera, and you can write things
You can now set up your own website.
Easy, right?
But it needs lots of encouragement to maintain a blog.
I don't like people said giving freebies to the bloggers.
Hey come on, it's not freebies!
We are paying back an article.
Whenever we received a product,
we need to set up a photo shoot.
We use it.
Then we make a post or comment it on our social medias.
Once the post is live, we'll spend some time to do the promo.
It will probably take at least 5 hours with the photography, writing, editing and marketing.
So, these 5 hours don't come for free.

Blogging is not just about writing a post now.
We also need to take care the numbers in our social medias.
"How many followers do you have in your insta?"
"How many likes on your FB page?"
You might not get any feedback after you answered: "200 likes".
Well, welcome to the real world!
So, never ever said blogging is easy!

I think, right now,
I'm struggling to take my blog to the next level.
I know
Sometimes, life just doesn't go to the way you want.
Maybe, I just need to be patient for a little bit.

I wish
I could just get over it!

Diary 180416

It's a bit struggling.
Not sure if I should record this down since I always read back my old posts.
But, I think I just want to do a short one.

I lost my phone, on the 13.04.16.
It's the Samsung Note 3 that I have used for a year.
I have been complaining it a lot when I had it.
I kept saying that I wanted to change a new one.
And now, it's really gone.
All of my pictures are gone from my phone.
I didn't even back up the pictures I took in Australia yet.
Now, you can imagine how much pain I experienced.

Dad told me it's okay, just get a new one.
Sister said I will get through it after sometimes.
Lik said it's just a phone, don't need to cry so hard.
But, I'm really sad
It's really sad, and heart pain!
How can you ask me not to think about it?!
Whenever I thought about how I lost it, I feel so stupid of myself.

I try to pick up my mood in the weekend
But, still...my heart still feels pain.
I hope for those who accidentally found someone's phone,
please think twice before you put it into your pocket.
At most of the time,
it's not about how costly the phone is,
but it's because of the memories inside the phone.
Always put yourself in other's shoes.
I bet you wouldn't want to face the same pain
Life is not easy for any of us.
don't build your happiness on someone else's pain.

Cheers!

Bye 2015 @ Hi 2016

While everyone were planning for their new year countdown, I am sitting in my room, having a glass of white wine and typing this post.
1 more hour before we say goodbye to 2015, are you guys ready for the brand new year?
Time flies too fast! To be honest, I am not ready at all!
I have too much challenges in 2015, and I really wish my 2016 will be better and more successful!
Same as the previous years, I would like to reveal my highlights from 2015 for today.

#1 I went to Bangkok, Vietnam and GuangZhou for my last business trip in my previous company.
All the trips were very good although it was tiring for sure, but I really enjoyed the process of meeting new people, talking to them and sharing each experiences together.

#2 I visited Kuching 2 times in this year for the best friends' gathering.
Friends come and go, but what we need is those who are sincere to accompany through ups and downs, and I am glad to have them in my life!
Even though we do not meet each other so often, but distance don't fade our true friendship!
Quote said: True friends are like stars, you don't always see them but they are always there! #thisissotrue

#3 Finally I am not single and available anymore!
Me and Lik got married in February 2015.
This year is our 4th anniversary celebration, and next year we are going to have our wedding ceremony.
We are excited to build a family of our own together. #wishusluck

#4 I quit my well-paying job in my previous company.
Making such big decision is not easy since I have been with the company for 7 years plus.
To be honest, it was hard in the beginning, but I am glad that I found the courage to move on!
Thank you so much for always supporting me! You know who you are!

#5 There is a big change in my blogging life.
I have been invited to different events and reviews in this year, and I felt great to be recognized in this industry.
One thing I know for sure is that I really enjoy blogging, it makes me feel absolutely satisfying!
Once again! Thank you very much for all the opportunities!

#6 I can do my own Vlog now!
I feel so proud of myself that I learnt every steps and solved each errors all by myself.
Though I am not as good as the other youtubers, but I believe practice makes perfect.

#7 Couldn't believe that I will fall in love with the K-pop bands until I met Big Bang at their world tour of MADE in 2015.
The concert was the best I've ever been to!

#8 In my 2015 new year's resolution, I said that I want to visit Korea again.
I made it happened in October with my secondary school friends.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

New Month, New Chapter!

Hello August!
August is not only a brand new month, but also a brand new chapter for me too.
I have quit my full time job, and yeap I am now jobless with so much free time all by myself.
It's a big challenge for me to have such decision, as I have been working there for 7 years plus.
It is not easy to put a full-stop on this job since the 7 years experience had lead me to quite a comfortable zone.
Some friends said that they admire my courage to quit and take on a new journey, YES I kinda agree with it too. #lol

This job consider my first job when I stepped into the payment salary society after I finished my degree.
I was glad that my boss was dare to take me as his staff since I have no "real" experience at my age 27 that time.
I truly appreciate for all the rare opportunity and trust he gave to me throughout the years; traveled to different countries and met different people, worked independently by my own, and built up self-confident in front of the customers and suppliers.
I have to admit that I have grown up so much all the way through these interesting and enjoyable experiences.
Also, to my Dutch partner who worked closely with me everyday; appreciate for all the cares and guidance no matter in my working or personal life; he always acted like my big brother to make sure I am always in a good form.
My heart was truly touched when I received the big bouquet flowers and letters from him on my last day at work.
This is way too much to recognize my works and efforts! #thankyouverymuch
Also, a big thanks to my customers and suppliers who all touching and appreciation emails to me. I am truly blessed with all the warm messages. I seriously didn't know that I was so much been treasured and valued until the day I signed off.

I have no idea what's coming up next on my new chapter, but I would want to take this long break to relax, and enjoy myself.
I know it's gonna be a big move for me no matter I am going for a new job or start my own business; however, I would have faith in myself and I have to truly confident in all that I am going to do.

Well, one chapter has ended, another has begun.
Goodbye to my fruitful 7 years, and I am excited to welcome my new chapter in my life! #bigsmileasalways

Change

People said if you don't try you will never know.
Even if you think you are not able to do something, you should try to do it, because you will never know what's going to come to you if you ever step out your zone.
I kind of believe it as well!

If you follow my IG @ hippo19, you would know that I am a coffee lover.
Maybe I should create a new hashtag #hippocaffeine to fix my coffee collection. #lol
I cannot skip my coffee session everyday, and Cappuccino is always my coffee of choice!
You probably never thought that I DON'T drink coffee at all in 7 years ago, because the caffeine makes my heart beat jumps fast.
My friends always laughed at me when I ordered a juice when we hangout at coffee shops.
I started to fall in love with coffee when I first visited to Melbourne.
When everyone were having a cup of coffee to warm themselves from the cold weather, I felt shame if I ordered a glass of water or others.
So, I persuaded myself to have my first cup of Cappuccino.
That's where I started to love and cannot stop of having the taste and the smell again and again!
My friends always said they couldn't believe that I need coffee everyday now, and even wanted to be a barista.

When I was a teenage, I love reading, but only books in Chinese.
My dad bought me many books and I always finished them pretty fast, sometimes I can finish 1 book in a day or two.
I am not sure since when I lost my reading habit; maybe too much of the distractions.
I know one way to improve my writing skill is by reading, so I tried to encourage myself day by day to read MORE.
I finished "The Five People You Meet in Heaven" last year, and I just finished "The Fault in Our Stars" recently.
I tried to spend at least 30 minutes a day on readings, and also do reading during my flights instead of social media or playing words with friends on my phone.
Although sometimes I took longer time to finish 1 book, but I always have big satisfaction whenever I finished one.
My next book will be "The Fifty Shades of Grey".
Well, if you have any good books to recommend, please do leave me a message. #thankyou

I love dancing since I was a kid.
My mum forced me to do ballet but I refused because I was shy to join the class when I knew that I was the oldest kid in the class.
My friends laughed at me when I moved my body at the dance floor in the clubs.
It was quite embarrassed and upset though, but well I understand the truth.
Things have changed now since I joined my fitness club 2 years ago.
I am glad that now I can dance pretty well in Zumba, Kpop, and New Jazz.
I felt so so glad that I moved myself out to a new phase.
And the most greatest thing is to receive a compliment from one of my new instructor last week!
"Hey, you are good, you can dance well!"
This compliment might be insignificant to other people, but to me, it means quite a lot since I always wish I can dance a bit.
I know I am not good or perfect yet, but at least I have challenged myself to do it! #feelingbless

We all growing up and I am sure things have changed from time to time.
Some of my friends realized that I have changed to a better me whenever they see me in person or through my social medias.
I took all them as compliments because I am happy to become who I am now.
If I ever tried my first coffee in Melbourne, I wouldn't able to introduce you where to get a nice Cappuccino today.
If I ever forced myself with my first English novel, I wouldn't saying to you now " I'm reading."
If I ever step into the studio to start dancing, I wouldn't know that I can actually move my body with my favourite music.
Remember, things may change if you willing to kick a start from today!
CHEERS!
