If You are in Kuala Lumpur, You Must Check in These Restaurants

Guys!
Today is 11th April, and so it is the 25th day of the Movement Control Order (MCO) in Malaysia.
How's everyone doing so far?
It's quite unbelievable that we all have been staying at home for more than 20 days.
During this MCO periods, other than cooking day and night, writing blogs, creating IG contents, I also listing down the things that I plan to do after everything is stable.
Do share with me in the comments section below about your daily activities during this MCO periods, I would love to get some ideas since we still have 3 more weeks to go. :)
Well, the other day I was thinking, "What is the thing I miss the most? What do I want to do the most after MCO is over?"
I miss traveling for sure, but I don't think it's safe to go anywhere now even the MCO periods ended.
And the second thing that I miss a lot is the cafe-hopping adventure; I miss having a cup of hot Americano at a nice cafe, enjoying the atmosphere, taking pictures with the decorations, watching people coming in and out, having good laughs with my friends etc.
So, I went through some of the websites, compiled a list of the cafes, and here's the 5 different cafes that I would like to share with you all today. :)

#1 Merchant's Lane

Merchant's Lane is a fusion cafe located at the busy street in Petaling Street.
It's not easy to find the location as the cafe only has a small entrance painted in bright turquoise colour, and it is sit right beside a traditional stationary shop.
Parking could be an issue around that area if you haven't been there before.
The cafe serves a wide range of food choices, from Asian dishes to Western meals, where you will definitely find a perfect one for your taste.
I've been there once with my girl friends, and the cafe was very crowded during the lunch time, but after all I think the food and drinks are well worth the wait.
Oh right! Not to forget to get your camera ready for an Instagram-worth experience at Merchant's Lane; the cafe is filled with lots of natural light and also amazing decor that perfect for photography!

I realized the whole area at Petaling Street recently has transformed into a lively atmosphere with many characteristic cafes around the city.
Old China Cafe, is another hidden gems that located at Chinatown, Petaling Street.
From the outside appearance, Old China Cafe looks like a nostalgia kopitiam back in 50's era with a quaint interior display and design, while when you walk into the cafe, the cafe has lots of traditional antique furniture display; everything just feel like blasting to the time.
The cafe mainly serves Southeast Asian and Chinese cuisine originates from Baba Nyonya communities of Malacca as well as Penang.
Looking at their menu, they have Lobak, Nyonya Laksa, Mee Siam, Nyonya Rendang Chicken, Pork Pong Teh, and even Sago Gula Melaka for the dessert.
Yeah, Old China Cafe definitely a best choice for all the Nyonya food lovers out there. :)

I heard about Leaf & Co Cafe through my mum; lol my mum enjoys cafe hop too. :)
She told me that the coffee at Leaf & Co Cafe is nice, she especially likes their cappuccino the most.
I was actually planned to visit there in last month, but due to the MCO periods, so all my cafe visits have to cancel.
Leaf & Co Cafe is located at the corner shop of Jalan Sultan.
I've checked their menu online and they mainly served local dishes such as Nasi Lemak, Satay, Roti Canai, Asam Laksa, Char Kway Teow, and of course they also have some Western meals such as pastas, sandwiches etc.
Oh dear...I really miss those local dishes so much, and really can't wait to pay my visit to Leaf & Co Cafe soon.

#4 VCR

VCR Coffee & Cakes cafe is located in the heart of KL city, along Jalan Galloway.
It's a corner double storey shop with an eye catching entrance because of its all black exterior.
From the outside, the cafe doesn't look so big, yet it has both upstairs and downstairs seatings, plus a small balcony upstairs.
The cafe produces a variety of coffees such as long black, cappuccino, latte, flat white etc with Coffex and Artisan beans.
I've been to VCR two times, and their coffees are the one that I've been missing so much.
Other than their specially brewed coffees, the cafe also offers a range of flavoured brunch such as all-day breakfast, sandwiches as well as non-coffee beverages on their menu.

Kafe Old Market Square is located at the bustling city of Masjid Jamek Mosque.
It is an old cafe since year 1928, which formerly known as Restoran Sin Seng Nam.
The cafe has been newly renovated into a brand new vintage cafe that photo-worthy even from the outside.
The original mosaic floors is the one that I plan to take photography for my Instagram feed. #lol
Kafe Old Market Square serves simple yet delicious Hainanese or Hailam food, such as Chee Cheong Fun, Mee Rojak, Mee Rebus, Hailam Chicken Rice, Hailam Chicken Chop and also several different versions of Hailam Kopi.
I think my dad probably will like this kind of cafe, because he loves Hailam food as well as Hainanese black coffee too. :)

Since we are going to enter the 3rd phase of MCO together, we can't dine-in or eat-in at the cafes that we wish to go, but lucky that we can now get our favourite food and drinks delivery through food delivery.
With foodpanda, we can enjoy the food and beverages we love in the comfort of our home with free delivery nationwide.
It's so great, isn't?! :)
Hoping we all can give our full cooperation to the authorities; stay safe, stay at home, stay hygiene during this MCO period, I believe we can fight the COVID-19 together!
