It's been three months since I shared about the skincare products.

Sorry for kept you all waited for so long.

Without further ado, let me share with you guys my current favourite, a premium skincare brand, La' Piel Labs, imported all the way from Korea.

The La' Piel Labs, meaning "skin laboratory", is a naturalistic skincare brand that develops products with a fundamental approach to tackling skin concerns. 

All their cruelty-free and sustainable products are manufactured with over 90% naturally derived EWG All Green ingredients. 

Aqua De Lucir is their current skincare series which comprises 5 products, mainly focused on intense hydration and anti-aging with its powerful ingredients, Blue Green Algae, that works to repair damaged skin, protects against blue light, and fortifies skin barrier for moisture retention and wrinkle reduction.

And in today's post, I will be focusing on two products from the series which are the Hydro Softner Water and Hydro Expert Gel Cream.  

First, let's take a look at the Hydro Softner Water.....

Hydro Softner Water (200ml) @ RM149 is an unique toner with strong hydrating properties, made to refresh dried out skin, and to moisturize skin inside and outside. 

The toner also provides good skin texture by removing impurities, keeping skin smoothness, and also balancing skin's pH levels.  

The Hydro Softner Water contains a powerful ingredient, Blue-Green Algae Extract, which offers various benefits such as holds the vitality of deep and powerful moisture, has the effect of suppressing damage to the skin caused by free radicals, provides rich nutrition and moisture to the skin, and a healthy glow from the inside. 

Other than the main ingredient of Blue-Green Algae Extract, it also contains 83% of lavender flower water to provide rich moisture and also 91.3% other natural ingredients such as:

- Sodium Hyaluronate: draws nearly 6,000 times moisture and provides moisture to the skin

- Trehalose: a powerful water reservoir that blocks water evaporation

- Panthenol: provides moisture and nutrition to complete a strong moisturizing barrier

- Botanic Complex (pomegranate extract/mangosteen bark extract/butterfly bean extract): blocks blue light that is easily exposed in daily life and helps prevent aging. that are effective for skin, through long-tern research and development in the company-affiliated research institute. 

The softner water comes with a durable plastic transparent bottle which allows you to see its content inside the bottle clearly and also it's much easy to take care of it instead of a glass bottle. 

I always like this kind of bottle packaging when it comes to any skincare products as it is much easy to take care of it compare to a glass packaging, and the bottle with a twist up cap makes dispensing the toner on the cotton pad or hands so much easier. 

To put it simply, the  softner water looks like water and acts like water too.

So yea since it is water-based, it is very good for boosting hydration right after you applying it to your dry skin. 

On the other hand, it also has a very nice lavender smell to make you feel calm and relax before you start your day and also end your day.

There are 3 alternate ways to apply the facial toner. 

1. Water type toner: after the last step of cleansing in the morning and evening, take an appropriate amount on your hands and gently absorb it along the skin texture.

*It is not recommend to use a cotton pad to wipe the toner as the cotton pad might be irritated to sensitive or weak skin. 

2. Layering: if sub-dermal dryness is a concern, you may layer it 2-3 times for even more dense moisture recharge.

3. Moisture pack: on days when you need special care, you may utilize it as soothing moisturizing pack by applying generously on a cotton pad and leaving it on the skin for 10-15 minutes. 

The Hydro Expert Gel Cream (50g) RM189, is a gel-based cream that acts both as a daily moisturizer, as well as a night use sleeping mask.

It provides several benefits such as:

- Soothing care: calms the sensitive skin by lowering the temperature from the external environment. 

- 24 hour care: uses as sleeping pack to moisture skin overnight and also keep skin hydrated all day long. 

- Moisture shield: prevents water loss and improves skin's barrier function.

- Fresh care: helps to control sebum with its little greasy texture yet absorb quickly to leave skin feeling fresh. 

The Hydro Expert Gel Cream features two main ingredients like Blue Green Algae Extract to repair skin damage, and Raphanus Sativus (Radish) Seed Extract to lock in moisture under the skin to deliver loads of hydration to create a luscious skin.

Besides, it also consists of 68.5% moisturizing and nutritious active ingredients and 94.1% natural ingredients such as:

- Hadrolyzed Sclerotum Gum: repairs damaged cells, improves inflamed skin and penetrates into the stratum corneum to brighten the skin

- Coco-Caprylate/Caprate: high moisturizing and suppressing moisture evaporation, and deep penetration helps skin regeneration

- Yeast beta-glucan: promotes and strengthens the immune system to help regenerate and protect the skin

- Lavender flower water: excellent soothing and astringent effects, and is effective for acne-prone skin

The face cream comes with an airless pump bottle which no tubes or straws inside to force the cream out of the bottle, so it is much hygienic to keep the product fresher longer, and also the airless pump system is good to ensure the consistent application.

Well, the bottle is also small, light and handy to fits easily in your bags or luggage.

The cream texture is slightly sticky when I dispense a few drops on my fingertips, but it absorb quickly and do not give a big greasy feeling on the skin once I pat it all over my face. 

I enjoy it's light and pleasant flowerly scent over my face. :)

There are 2 ways to apply the face cream.

1. At the last step of your day and night skincare routine, take an appropriate amount and gently apply it according to the skin texture for absorption. 

2. Use it as a sleeping mask by pumping 1-2 times more than usual and apply it thickly overnight.

I'm pleasantly surprised by both Aqua De Lucir Hydro Softner Water & Hydro Expert Gel Cream from La' Piel Labs. 

The Hydro Softner Water that infused with 83% lavender flower water has a nice but not overpowering lavender scent makes me feeling so relax and calm. 

I always appreciate having a lightweight step that I can use with other products without feeling heavy on the skin, and this facial toner has been good.

I use it as my facial toner for day and night and I absolutely feel my skin is hydrated and refreshed after using this regularly. 

Also, my skin becomes more sensitive and more easily irritated before/during my menses, so this toner works well as soothing moisturizing pack too by leaving the cotton pad for 10-15 minutes. :)

The minimalist bottle with a great twist up cap makes dispensing the toner on the cotton pad or hands a lot more easier, I like!

On the other hand, the Hydro Expert Gel Cream is slightly sticky, which I think it pairs well with the Hydro Softner Water since the facial toner is so lightweight. 

I normally use the gel cream at night time if I have to put on my make up at day time, as I always prefer light coverage on my skin. 

The face cream massages nicely into the skin and a little goes a long way, and after using the facial cream for weeks, I can see my skin is feeling soft, smooth, and hydrated in the next morning. 

I also use it twice a week, a thicker layer and leave it overnight as booster for extra hydration, and I'm satisfy how well it locks in all the moisture and also how cooling the feels on the skin.
