8 Instagram-Worthy Spots at The KL Journal @ Traveloka & The Butterfly Project

Christmas is for fun, love and happiness.
I love Christmas, and usually I started my Christmas celebration from the beginning of December to share love with my friends and families.
My weekends in this special session are always full of many friends' gatherings, shopping for gifts, and outing with families.
How's your Christmas celebration? I hope yours one are great!
And today, I'm going to share one of the pre-Christmas celebration together with The Butterfly Project and Traveloka.
It's a pleasure to be invited as one of the bloggers to attend this exclusive 2 days 1 night staycation at The Kuala Lumpur Journal (The KL Journal).
The vacation was really fun by catching up with old friends and making new friends. :)

Well, The KL Journal may be small, not as big as the other International hotels, but it has quite a few picture-perfect spots that are worthy capturing.
So, whip out your camera, and get ready to explore with me!
This is the #1 Instagram-worthy spot at the rooftop pool. :)

The KL Journal is a stylish, modern boutique hotel, which located in the heart of KL city.
The hotel is designed to all kinds of people at different stages, from families, to couples, to groups of friends, and to solo travelers
Though the hotel is located in the city center, just about 5 minutes walk away from Bukit Bintang, the hotel provides nice relaxed stay away from the city buzz.

Get a cup of coffee and have your #2 Instagram-worthy spot right outside the hotel.
Greens everywhere make the place feel so relaxed!

That bright yellow spiral staircase is the #3 Instagram-worthy spot. :)

Level 1 is like a gathering center where you can arrange formal meeting, discussion, workers reunion and even an informal party!
I think this could be a nice place to arrange a ROM party with your loved ones too. :)

The space is built into multiple rooms, and each rooms are designed in different style, decor, and color scheme.
All rooms include WIFI internet access, LED TV, projectors, HDMI cables for presentations, writing boards etc.

In the afternoon, we got to learn how to make our own leather passport holder at one of the room, The Hub.
Thanks to DIYKL for all the guidance and patient for making this happened.
The whole process wasn't as easy as I thought it would be, but after all the handcrafted works finished, I then realized that all of the hard work paid off!

You will find the #4 Instagram-worthy spot at the In Focus room where it showcasing the photo gallery of The KL Journal Hotel.

There is an open bar, The Terrace Bar & Grill, located at the same floor as business center, where you can relax and enjoy with drinks while listening to the live band music in the evening.
There are plenty of dining seats, lounge seats for the guests, and this big U-shape lounge seats can be the #5 Instagram-worthy spot in your list!

This is one of the most #6 Instagram-worthy spot at the open bar area.

The #7 Instagram-worthy spot is inside the room with the story telling on the wall.
I noticed that different rooms have different pictures on the wall, do share with me if you visited a different one yea!

Meet my roommate, Betty Liew! #muacks

That's the delux king room for our one night stay.
The room is spacious, and I really like the simple & stylish design which gives a calming feeling to the guests.
The lighting is great, and the bed is super comfortable because I had  a very good sleep on that night. #hehe

Instead of the typical hotel notepad, The KL Journal gives an iconic 555 booklet that we used for a lot of things during our childhood back in the day. #classic!

The room provides coffee, tea and water bottle facilities, and all these are free of charge.

The bathroom is of good size, with a powerful high pressure rain shower and counter space.
It also provides hair dryer, bathrobe and spa toiletries to you as well.

The cozy homey feel in the hotel would just make me wanted too stay in!

Let's move on to the Kedai Kopi Journal, which is the main dining area for the visitors to have daily breakfast buffet, lunch sets as well as dinner buffet.

The name Kedai Kopi gives a bit of old school coffee shop feeling, but the cafe interior looks very modern with the colourful decors and elements.
The different tables and chairs along with the lighting help to create an intimate feeling. :)

The #8 Instagram-worthy sports at the Kedai Kopi Journal.

The breakfast buffet is satisfying to keep you full and satiated throughout the morning.

Here's the dinner buffet choices.
If you would like to try some local food, you can always visit the local food stalls nearby the hotel since it is situated in the middle of the major shopping malls and restaurants.

After the dinner, we had a glass of refreshing cocktail to refresh on a hot day at the Terrace Bar & Grill where we can enjoy the KL night view.

The breathtaking rooftop with infinity pool, nice city view and a gym!

The view from the swimming pool in daytime.

I really enjoy my stay at The KL Journal, and it is one of the great hotel in KL that I would highly recommend to anyone; no matter if you are looking for just a night gateaway or a long holiday in KL.
The room is clean and the bed is comfortable, the staffs are friendly and helpful, and it has a perfect location with easy access to the nearby places of interest.
Honestly, for a boutique hotel, you couldn't ask for more with such great location, facilities and services.

Lastly, I would like to introduce Traveloka, which is a traveling platforms for you to plan your holiday ahead.
I have shared about Traveloka in my previous post at HERE.
And basically, Traveloka is an online travel aggregator to help you to get great rates on flight and hotel packages on your travel location.
One of the best features that I found from the Traveloka is it offers 6 or 12 months installment plans, which means with the new Maybank 0% installment plan exclusively with Traveloka, you can now say yes to any adventures you want to be!

On the other hand, I have also downloaded the Traveloka apps to my phone recently, and I realized it's one of the best travel apps to book my flights and hotels in the future.
Why I said so? :)
#1 User-friendly app
The apps is easy to use and navigate
#2 Manage your account
If you create an account, you can keep your credit card details and personal information so that when you book your flights and hotels in the future, you can just apply with just a few clicks
#3 Real guest reviews
You can check on the reviews from the real hotel guests before you book it.
#4 Itinerary tips
If you aren't sure where to go, you can go to the inspiration blogs that provided by Traveloka at the bottom of the apps.
#5 Get notify when price change
You can create an alert to receive updates when the prices match your budget
