But well, if you followed my footsteps at my Instagram @ mizhippo, you shall be able to see some new beauty products that I'm currently using, for instance the face sheet masks.
As for today, I would like to share a brand new product that brought in by Althea Korea.

So let's check it out what is the detoxer set about!



Many of us know that our body need do have regular detox sessions at least once every other month in order to clean our bodies from the harmful chemicals and other toxins to keep us healthy and balanced.
So, what we did is we eat clean, more on raw fruits, herbs and vegetables, and also drink more water or freshly made vegetable juice daily etc.
However, do you actually know that our skin also need a detox session from lots of gunk, such as pollution, daily makeup and bacteria too?
Well, pollution is the biggest issue in Malaysia, especially the current haze issue that probably will age our skin more than we ever thought.
Therefore, a proper deep cleaning or exfoliating product is very important to add into our skin-care routine to remove the layers of dead skin and ensure us a more brighter, as well as healthier glow skin.

Packaging

The product comes packed inside a box, and the detoxifying mask is contained in a 150ml sturdy and easy to use tube packaging after the box is opened.
The packaging has all the information you need about the product but it's mainly written in Korean.
Overall, the whole package has a very clean and modern look.
I like the flip cap as it works very well for preventing the leakage and also controlling overuse.

Rose Edition

Rose edition is for the skin-refining.
It is suggested to use in the morning for 10-seconds before applying any of your skincare and makeup products to help balancing the skin's natural pH levels.
It also has the purpose of protecting and evening out the skin's texture for perfect makeup application.



The key ingredients of the Rose skin detoxifying mask includes:
#1 Real rose petals: Gently exfoliates the skin and ensure the skin is revitalized, supple, and bright, as well as pleasant fragrance.
#2 Rose extract: A natural vitamin supplement that deeply hydrating, soothing irritations, refining the skin, improving circulation, and smoothing rough textures.
#3 Glycerin: A humectant that attracts moisture to the skin, preventing dehydration.

It is made with 100% Premium Rose, which handpicked from the town of Grasse, France once a year during May.
Comparing to the normal rose extracts, the premium May rose extracts that only blossom just once a year over the span of 5 weeks are more effective at balancing out the skin's natural pH at a level 5.

Green Tea Edition

Green tea edition is for the skin-purifying.
It is good to apply during the night time for 10-seconds before your daily evening skincare routine in order to boost the skin's natural regeneration process at night when the skin cells are most active by ensuring the skin is clarified and ready to rest.



The key ingredients of the Green Tea skin detoxifying mask includes:
#1 Real green tea leaves: Gently exfoliates the skin with it's light and pleasant fragrance.
#2 Green tea extract: Contains Vitamin C and amino acids for purifying and strengthening the skin.
#3 Green tea powder: Relieve irritation and redness quickly by controlling sebum production and removing impurities from the skin.
#4 Glycerin: A humectant to help moisture the skin as well as prevent dehydration.

It is made of the 100% premium Jeju Green Tea leaves that grow under the spring sunshine, allowing them to harness the natural energy of the island.
The young green tea leaves collected in spring are the most softest and most delicate babe leaves from the first harvest.
It contains an abundance of Catechin, a substance that has 5 times more vitamin C than lemon, making it excellent at protecting the skin from UV damage.

Since both products contain real rose petals and green tea leaves, so it is important to ensure the products are at their freshest by recording the opening date and finishing the products before they expires.

Texture

How to use? 

Step #1: Squeeze out a generous amount and apply a relatively thick layer onto the dry skin.
Step #2: Leave it for 10 seconds.
Step #3: Add a little but of water and gently massage into your skin in a circular motions with petal & green tea bubbles.
Step #4: Rinse it off with water.

Both products are made with coconut extracts.
It lathers into a bubbly foam that gently melts away residue and removes dirt from the pores while ensuring the skin stays calm and healthy.

My Thoughts

I left the mask on for about 10-seconds, and I found that the mask dried out quite quickly which is great.
Then, I added some water, lathered up a bit and rubbed it slightly.
I can feel the particles are very small and the texture is gritty, so you don't need to scrub too hard otherwise it will be too harsh for your skin.
It took me a while to wash off the mask since the texture is in thick gel type, but once it is washed off entirely, I can feel my skin is softer, cleaner and brighter without drying out.





In addition, these products deliver a beautiful fragrance too!
They smell really, really nice!
For the rose edition, it has a sweet and dewy floral scent; I feel like applying fresh roses on my face. :)
And the green tea scent is so subtle, the smell is very pleasant and really refreshing upon application.
To be honest, I was happy with the overall performance in terms of the ingredients, the scent, and also the outcome after using it.
Would recommend it to anybody who's looking for an exfoliating or cleansing product for an amazing deep clean.
