The answer definitely goes to DORAEMON!
I remembered when I was a kid, I read and watched a lot about Doraemon together with my siblings.
My parents really bought a lot of books and video tapes about Doraemon (wondering where are all these comics and video tapes now) :)
Doraemon is a famous Japanese manga and anime that loved not only by all Japanese children and adults, it is also one of the most famous cartoon characters in all over the world.
I think everyone of us like Doraemon's pocket with all the amazing tools that Doraemon uses to help Nobita everytime at everywhere.
For me, another reason that I like Doraemon is because he always makes us believe that one day our dreams will come true if we work hard on it.
So, if you are also a fans of Doraemon, Doraemon is now here for you in Malaysia!!!
After having a success Doraemon Expo and pop-up stores at Paradigm Mall, Johor Bharu late last year and Paradigm Mall, Petaling Jaya; this month in March, Animation International (M) Sdn Bhd has brought the same fun to Gateaway@Klia2 Mall in Sepang.
This is the first ever pop-up store to be located in a world-class airport, which especially created for Doraemon fans to bond over and to create that same magical feeling of genuine happiness and togetherness amongst patrons at the event.
First of all, say HELLO to Doraemon & his friends, Nobita Nobi (大雄), Shizuka Minamoto (静宜), Takeshi Goda (技安) and Suneo Honekawa (阿福)
The reason gateaway@klia2 mall was chosen as the preferred mall for this campaign is because it is a bustling integrated complex that welcomes more than 25 million travelers into the largest terminal for low cost carriers in the world.
Also, for the Doraemon hardcore fans and shoppers from the surrounding residential districts in Putrajaya, Cyberjaya, Nilai, Bangi and Sepang to name a few, this would make it the perfect spot for them as it can be accessed via various public transportation.
Tourism, Arts and Culture (MoTac) Minister, YBhg Datuk Mohamaddin Ketapi: "This mega pop-up store, a first-ever held in an airport contributes to boost tourism sector in our country, by attracting fans worldwide who touch down at KLIA2. In hindsight, the tourism sector contributes RM84.1 billion (shopping segment 33.4%, accommodation 25.7%, food and drinks 13.4%) to the national economy last year, up by 2.4 percent as compared to the previous year.
Animation International (M) Sdn Bhd's Director, Mr. Steve Chow: "I hope that patrons, both locals and foreign tourists to the event will have a good time with friends and family and enjoy this event which was curated specially for our Doraemon fans. We hope to create that same magical feeling of genuine happiness, togetherness and bonding, thus creating strong family values through spending quality time together."
Retail of WCT Malls, Ms. Selena Chua: "Each day, we welcome more than 100,000 patrons to gateaway@klia2 and we strive to provide them with new and unique experiences each time they visit us. Hence, with this years's first-ever Doraemon and friends pop-up store taking place at our biggest airport shopping mall, we hope patrons are able to, not only experience the blue-magic of Doraemon, but also able to capture amazing pictures with 30-life sized Doraemon figurines to fill their social feeds and bring home limited-edition merchandises with them or for their loved ones."
Each of the figurines have different poses and expressions, and I'm sure you won't get enough of them!
Besides, there is also a mega pop-up store that you able to purchase different types of merchandises.
Everything at the merchandise store are limited edition ones!
If you are a big fans of Doraemon, I'm sure you will want to pick up something to bring back several fond memories whenever you see them.
