Dorsett Mongkok Hong Kong @ Hong Kong

So guys, here's the Hong Kong hotel review post for your all.
I received some DMs asking me about my stay in Hong Kong, so I decided to write a blog post about it and hopefully it gives you detailed information on every pieces of the Dorsett Mongkok Hong Kong.
I knew about Dorsett Mongkok Hong Kong through my friends, but indeed this hotel is quite famous in Hong Kong based on its location, affordable and cleanliness.
Like I said in my previous post before, I've been to Hong Kong many times and also have stayed in various hotels before, from a budget one to a high-end one; however this is surely my very first time staying around Mongkok area, probably because I always thought that the hotels in Mongkok are pricey due to its convenient location, and surprisingly this time I found an affordable one that worth the price. #yeayea
We stayed at Dorsett Mongkok Hong Kong for a couple of days, and we are happy about it.
So without any further ado, let's have a hotel tour with me right away!

Dorsett Mongkok Hong Kong is an award-winning 4-star hotel in Hong Kong.
It has been awarded Tripadvisor's "Certificate Excellence" for 7 consecutive years.
Though Dorsett Mongkok Hong Kong comes with the word of Mongkok, the hotel is not situated in the center of Mongkok, it's actually located in between Kowloon and Mongkok districts.
So, if you looked at the MTR map, the hotel is about 7-min walk away from the Olympic MTR station.

Location

Anyway, the hotel has a very good location, all necessities are easily accessible.
For instance, you can get a few convenient stores, mini markets, pharmacies like Watsons and Mannings just right across the roads.
Also, every streets in the neighborhood have a lot of local restaurants, like Char Chan Teng and even fast food McDonalds for choices, so you can actually find some local foods right there without having to go so far.

Transportation

The free shuttle bus service provided to the hotel guests is really a great help since the hotel is not located at the city center of Mongkok.
The shuttle service has a fixed timetable, departing from the hotel from 8am till 11pm, where it stops at 4 different shopping and commercial landmarks such as Langham Place / Ladies Market, Temple Street, Star Ferry and Sky100.
Everyday, we took the free shuttle bus to Langham Place, and from there we walked to the busy streets in Mongkok or took the nearest MRT to the other places we wanted to visit.

On the other hand, from the airport to the Dorsett Mongkok Hong Kong, you can take the Hong Kong Airport Express Train to the Kowloon Station, and from there you can catch the hotel complimentary Airport Express Shuttle Bus Service, number K5 that goes to the Mongkok East Station.
The free shuttle bus will stop right in front of the hotel for you.

Receptionist & Lobby

The lobby and receptionist areas are pretty spacious.
All the staffs are very professional, helpful and friendly, and most of them speak very good English too.
Everything at this public area was always kept clean and sanitized timely, especially the elevator.
The free WiFi not only available inside the room, but also at the public areas.

Room

We've got the Comfort Queen Room with Breakfast room package for our 4-nights stay.
The room is not big, sufficient for two of us and also some spaces for our two big luggage.
The queen size bed is well covered with soft and comfy bed sheet and two fluffy pillows.
Also, the entire room is simple, comfy and well equipped with all the necessary amenities such as air-conditioning, mini wardrobe, hair dryer, disposable slippers, LCD TV with variety channels, desk, iron and iron board, safety box that we need.
When you enter to the room, you will realize that the room offers lots of mirrors, including a huge standing mirror at the corridor area, and also a full piece window over the headboard of the bed, I guess that help to increase the small spaces in Hong Kong visually. :)

My favourite corner inside the room. :)

Can't deny that the bathroom is small, but it's good that the both wet and dry zones are separated with a shower curtain.
You can leave all your toiletries at your home because the hotel supplies the standard shampoo, body wash and also other toiletries such as toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, and lotion for your stay. :)

The view from our room, facing to the road and many tall buildings. :)
But lucky that we didn't get upset and disturb with any noises at night time.

The room has a little mini bar right next to the room door, with a mini-fridge, electric kettle, complimentary water bottles, tea and coffee sachets.

There is a smartphone placed on the desk inside the room.
You can bring out the phone while exploring the city as it comes with unlimited 4G internet as well as free local and selected international calls for you to stay connected with your families and friends.

Buffet Breakfast

If you booked the room package with breakfast, you can enjoy the daily buffet breakfast at their in-house restaurant, Oneonefishone, located at the 2nd floor.
The breakfast was adequate, having fried noodle, eggs, toasts, sausages, dim sums, bacon, salad, fruits, cereal, coffee, tea, juice etc.
Nothing fancy and they have the same exact menu for everyday.
Some people may get bored with the breakfast menu if they were to stay here longer. :)

Here's my kind of everyday morning breakfast at the hotel. :)

Other Facilities

In addition, Dorsett Mongkok Hong Kong also has their own 24-hour fitness studio, located at first floor to ensure hotel guests have a comfortable stay throughout.
Well, there are many hotels in Kowloon that's being the eco-friendly properties, and Dorsett Mongkok Hong Kong is one of them; it has an EarthCheck silver-certified green hotel that is 100% indoor smoke-free.

I definitely enjoyed my stay at Dorsett Mongkok Hong Kong throughout the trip.
If you are planning to visit Hong Kong anytime soon, you can consider booking your stay with them.
You can be one of their members to enjoy 12% off on all online rates, and also free upgrade up to suite room and many more.
Hope my little hotel review helps you with any information you need, and do comment below if you have any other questions, I will try my best to reply you all.
Till then! xoxo
