Luckin Kopi @ Petaling Street Chinatown Kuala Lumpur

Hello cafe hoppers!
I know it's been a while since I last shared about my cafe hop with you all!
If not mistaken, my last sharing was in July? #thatsabittoolong?
Well, if you wanna know the cafe I hopped recently, you can always see them on my IG @mizhippo, I usually have more cafe updates right there.
Anyway, just last week, I paid a visit to Luckin Kopi, a new cafe located at Petaling Street Chinatown.
It's a very nice cafe that offers good ambiance, delicious local fusion food and drinks, and also perfect for taking photo to feed your IG feeds. :)
I personally like the place so much!
So, without further ado, I'm going to write a long post and share it with you all today.
Let's continue to read on yea! :)

Luckin Kopi is a brand new cafe which just opened about 3 weeks ago.
It is located at Jalan Panggong Petaling Street, Chinatown Kuala Lumpur.
To be honest, it's never been easy to find a parking spot when you're driving down busy street, yet lucky enough that Luckin Kopi is located just right opposite the open air car park along Jalan Panggong, so guys, no need to worry about hunting a spot for you car. :)

The dining area is very spacious that consists of two floors and air-conditioned.
Ground floor is the main place for dining, while first floor has an area to host private events, and also a lovely florist to visit.

The cafe itself is beautifully bright and airy; good lighting, retro brick walls, dark wooden paneling, and comfortable furniture in modern style.
The heritage building itself as well as the appearance makes the whole room a very cozy feeling.

Who can resist the lovely background like this?!
You will instantly fall to this place with its add in bright and welcoming interior!

Loving that retro marble top too!
Let's start the menu with their daily breakfast, shall we?

Luckin Toast @ RM12.90 comes with half-boiled eggs, 5 pieces of Hainan breads and 4 different sauces such as kaya, butter, nutella and peanut.

Here we have the Kaya Butter Toast @ RM3.50, Peanut Butter Toast @ RM4.50, Egg On Toast @ RM4.90 and Butter Kaya Crackers @ RM3.50.
I like the Kaya Butter Toast because I love everything with kaya, #hehe but for those who loves egg, you can try their Egg On Toast!.

Some local cuisine for breakfast, maybe?
All these single meals, Nasi Lemak, Mee Siam and Indo Mee are @ RM5.90 each, but you can also customize your own favourite meals by adding additional one or two dishes from the menu..
Additional one dish will be a total @ RM12.90 and the subsequent side dish will be extra @ RM4.00 each.
There are lots of choices for the dishes such as Rendang Chicken, Buttermilk Chicken, Sambal Prawn, Curry Chicken, Sambal Petai, Sambal Sotong etc.
I think a set with extra 2 dishes are good for two pax sharing as the portion for a single plate is pretty big for a small eater.

I'm so happy that the cafe serves Fruit Rojak @ RM8.90 and Chee Cheong Fun @ RM5.00 as it's not easy to find a cafe to have this kind of local bites.
Other than these small bites, they also serve some Kuih Nyonya in a box too!

Geng Chow Chicken Bun @ RM12.90 is served with 2 steamed buns that filled with chicken fillet and chef's specially sauce, while Petai Bun @ RM12.90 has a rich savoury taste that perfect to go with the 4 pieces of soft teamed buns in the basket.

They also have some home-cooked recipe that makes you feel comforted; Hot & Sour Soup @ RM12.90 and also Asam Laksa @ RM9.90,
I like the way they served the soup dishes, because the gas portable stove able to keep the food warm while serving them on the table.

I'm impressed with their signature Salted Egg Chicken Rice @ RM11.90; the chicken pieces are deep-fried so the texture is very crispy and the sweet, creamy, savoury taste surely not gonna disappointing you either way.

On their pastas recipe, Petai Pasta @ RM20.90, Salted Egg Pasta @ RM20.90, and Aglio Olio Pasta @ RM19.90 are worth to try.
Personally, I love their Petai Pasta the most; they made their own sambal sauce based on their in-house recipe that will leave you wanting more!

Hainanese Chicken Chop @ RM16.90, with a big piece of deep fried chicken breast in the middle, and also a thickly sliced fried potatoes, cucumbers and grape tomatoes are served alongside.
Oh ya! It's gravy is very yummy, with the sweet and a spike of sourness taste.

Both Crispy Chicken & Fries @ RM26.90 and Cheesy Indo Mee & Egg @ RM14.90 are my top favourites.
They both served in a stone plate and on a gas portable stove to keep the cheese melted, and also side dishes of sunny side up egg or french fries to complete the full set.

That melting cheese definitely will make you want to go back for the second time!

I had a great time dining at Luckin Kopi.
They have a wide range of food and drink choices, and I think their pricing are friendly and affordable too.
Most importantly is the quality of food is excellent that can make you feel happy.
I think it's a good place for locals and also tourists to visit since the cafe is located at one of the tourist attractions in Kuala Lumpur, so you can actually plan your trip by discovering the history and tradition, and at the same time have a bites on the local food and drinks under the heritage rooftop.
Oh well, for coffee lovers, don't forget to try their traditional kopi that they brew fresh all day long to bring you the deep aroma.
Indeed, there is a lot of the other food and drinks that I wanted to try, so wait for me, I will be back soon!
