Princess Cruises @ Masterclasses with MasterChef Australia winner Diana Chan

Happy times do pass faster. :)
It's almost coming to the end of January, in the blink of an eye.
It's crazy how times flew and I've been sooo busy almost everyday; waking up early for work, attending events, meeting people, rushing blogposts, celebrating my birthday, catching up with friends to celebrate CNY together etc.
It's really a busy month, yet I'm feeling so blessed that there are so many good things are happening in January.
Just last Monday, I'm really glad that I was invited to Princess Cruises to meet Diana Chan, a Malaysian-born Australian cook and winner of MasterChef Australia for 2017 season 9 winner in person, and had the chance to see her in real life to make her own version of Yee Sang for this coming Chinese New Year.
Thank you so much Princess Cruises for having me!

Princess Cruises is well-known for its focus on exquisite cuisine, offering a wide range of culinary delights from endless buffet choices to gourmet pizza, fine dining and specialty dining.
The cruise line has partnered with world-class chefs including Curtis Stone to design menus that create special memories around the table.
Together, they constantly search for new ingredients, new techniques, and delicious discoveries to excite the senses of Princess guests and inspire them on their voyages.
And during a four-day voyage round trip from Singapore to Port Klang (Kuala Lumpur), Princess Cruises in Southeast Asia is collaborating with Diana Chan, MasterChef Australia season 9 winner, to conduct a series of masterclass workshops onboard Sapphire Princess.

Partnering with Diana will offer guests an unforgettable experience learning how to bring together seasonal produce, colours and flavours to prepare sensational Asian dishes.
To celebrate this coming CNY, Diana gave a masterclass on creating a Chinese New Year salad "yee Sang" which represents luck and prosperity.

Diana created a modern version of Yee Sang whereby all ingredients are able to find at any local supermarkets.
Yea! Everyone can prepare your own Yee Sang at home for celebration readily!

Farriek Tawfik, Director Southeast Asia, Princess Cruises: “To celebrate Chinese New Year, we are delighted that Diana Chan will be sharing her incredible talent and techniques for creating mouth-watering Asian dishes including yee sang using an array of flavourful ingredients on board Sapphire Princess. We also wanted to share the spirit of family bonding and togetherness this festive season, and spending quality time with loved ones is what Princess Cruises encourage our guests to embrace whilst cruising."

Diana Chan, MasterChef Australia S9 winner: "I am looking forward to partnering Princess Cruises to host a few culinary experiences on board. I'm excited to give the guests the ultimate masterclass on a classic Indonesian dish, gado gado and the Chinese New Year prosperity salad, yee sang. I can't wait to experience all that the ship has to offer from fine dining experiences to theater to relaxing on the deck."

It's truly a pleasure to meet Diana Chan in person. :)
For cooking lovers, Diana has a new food and travel show showcasing everything about Asian cuisine.
The series, which was launched on the Asia Food Network on 14 January, will have 10 episodes on the cuisine of countries including Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, Thailand and Japan.

Great luncheon was served at one of the fine dining room.
#1 Starter: Cold Smoked Salmon and Crayfish Tails, tomato-vodka marinated crayfish, dilled cucumber & caper salad
#2 Main course: Chateaubriand of Beef Tenderloin: truffle madeira essence, market-fresh vegetables and berny potatoes
#3 Dessert: Milky Chocolate-Hazelnut Soufflé: amaretto sabayon

My last cruising holiday was in 2 years ago, and I'm missing it so much.
